Avout Racing Selects
The Avout Racing Selects is an exclusive group of passionate, competitive athletes aged 15 to U23. Our mission is to prepare our Select athletes for the highest levels of amateur competition and professional cycling. Our comprehensive program includes full-service race support, personalized training plans, and guidance to develop nutrition, psychological resilience, tactical expertise, and racing experience.
Athletes in this program represent more than just cycling excellence—they embody community involvement, volunteerism, and academic achievement, maintaining a high-grade point average while excelling on and off the bike.
New for 2025
- Gravel Program: Expanding beyond MTB and CX, Selects athletes will race in 4 to 5 gravel events nationwide, including The Rad, Big Sugar, STB GRV, and USAC Gravel Nationals.
- Discipline Combinations: Apply for an individual discipline or a program combining 2 or 3 disciplines.
- Support Levels: Full-support athletes receive housing, meals, transportation, and comprehensive race support at the "Oasis," which includes shade, seating, food and drink, trainers, mechanics, bike wash, and hand-up support. Race-support athletes enjoy all Oasis benefits but manage their housing, meals, and transportation.
Application Details
The application window for the Avout Racing Selects is open from October to December for the following year. The process is highly selective—we seek driven juniors ready to excel locally and nationally. Do you have what it takes to join this elite program?

Matt McNamara, Director of Avout Racing Selects Program
Coach Matt has over twenty years of coaching, racing, and team management experience ranging from juniors to masters, amateurs to professionals. Along the way, he’s been fortunate to work with some of the best coaches and athletes in the world, including Olympic and World Champions. He is a USA Cycling Level 1/Elite Coach with Distinction and has additional Power and Skills Instruction certifications. He was a Lead Coach at USA Cycling’s Regional Talent ID Camps for 10 years, including two trips to the Junior Tour of Ireland with Team USA. He has a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado.
