Do You Love to Ride, Have Fun, and Get Outside?
Inspire Juniors Rec MTB
Inspire Juniors Rec MTB brings kids aged 6-12 together to mountain bike with peers, have fun, and develop an appreciation for the sport and the outdoors while building skills, confidence, and fitness. Riders will improve their mountain biking skills while being part of a team that instills positive values, such as camaraderie and respect. At the beginning of each session, kids are divided into small groups based on skill and guided by a coach for each practice. Parents are encouraged to sign up to volunteer as ride-alongs so that each group has two adults. Racing is optional but supported if juniors want to give it a try.
Program Requirements: Juniors must be six years or older and ready to mountain bike independently on singletrack trails for 1.5 hours twice a week. To tackle the trails with confidence, they must ride a mountain bike with gears and hand brakes. Consider our Pre-Rec program if your kiddo isn't quite ready for the Inspire Juniors Rec MTB program. If your junior is ready to take it to the next level with longer and more challenging practices, consider our race-focused Academy program for those ten years old and up.
The Rec MTB programs have sessions offered in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each junior will be required to purchase a jersey from our team store.
Interested in coaching? You can choose to volunteer (with the fee of one child waived.) Learn more and apply here.
General registration for the 2027 Inspire Juniors REC Program opens in November. (The Ken-Caryl programs offer early registration for Ken-Caryl residents mid-October)

Ken-Caryl Rec MTB
This year, we’ve streamlined our structure and will offer two sessions per season in Spring and Fall, and one session in the Summer.
In the Spring, practices will occur once a week in Ken-Caryl and once a week on nearby trails such as Waterton, Bear Creek Lake Park, Green Mountain, Ruby Hill, and Highlands Ranch.
In the Summer, we’ll offer a single program with two practices per week. About two-thirds of practices will be held in Ken-Caryl, with the remaining one-third rotating through the same local trail network.
In the Fall, riders will continue to enjoy a mix of Ken-Caryl trails and the surrounding areas. The program will follow a similar format to the Spring program, with one practice in Ken-Caryl and one on a nearby trail each week.
If your child would like to ride with friends, please coordinate signups accordingly.
